This position is eligible for a $3,000 Sign-On Bonus.

St. Ann’s Home & School, in Methuen, MA, is a leader in special education and residential programming, offering private day programs, child and adolescent residential services, along with a broad range of outpatient services.

We are seeking a master’s level therapist with an interest in becoming an essential part of our multi-disciplinary team. Residential Therapists provide individual, family and group therapy as well as case management, treating children, adolescents and young adults in our residential program. They may also be assigned cases in our day treatment program, short term, acute care program (CBAT/TCU), emergency residence program or outpatient program if needed or clinically indicated.

Qualified candidates must have LICSW, LCSW, or LMHC licensure or be license eligible.

Clinical supervision is an essential part of working in this setting and is provided to all therapists within the agency and in accordance with board requirements for those seeking licensure.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to, maintaining a caseload of clients, fulfilling paperwork requirements such as CANS, treatment plans, risk assessments, case conference reports, etc., interfacing with collaterals, along with other case management responsibilities, leading group therapy and attending weekly staff meetings. Ability and willingness to provide services in the community may be required. This position may require some early evenings and meetings outside of typical business hours. Therapists must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Therapists must be able to sit for long periods of time, drive a motor vehicle, write extensively, use the telephone for extended periods of time, climb stairs, lift and carry 11-20 lbs. Therapists must be able to participate in activities and recreation, react quickly, and be able to physically restrain youth in an emergency to ensure everyone’s safety is maintained. Staff are trained in trauma informed techniques to safely respond to occasional aggressive, self-injurious or unsafe behaviors. There is extensive contact with other agencies, parents, courts, physicians etc., via telephone and in person.

The mission of St. Ann’s Home & School is to provide a continuum of assessment, treatment, educational, and community-based services for children, adolescents, and young adults who present with a variety of mental health, emotional, and educational challenges.
