Marblehead Counseling Center Hiring an Unlicensed Outpatient Clinician (Full-Time) Master’s Degree Required

Job Description:
We are seeking a master’s level unlicensed clinician to provide psychodynamic counseling to individuals, groups, couples, and families of all ages. This unique position is partially funded by a local grant program through the Cummings Foundation and requires an unlicensed individual who currently has a Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field. The position would include providing in-person and telehealth therapy to children, teens, adults, and couples who live in the surrounding communities at our Marblehead outpatient clinic. You would be responsible for conducting intake evaluations, implementing treatment plans, and providing ongoing psychotherapy services while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team. You would be provided with both individual and group supervision as you work towards your independent state licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT. Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person and telehealth psychotherapy to children, teens, adults, couples, families, and groups in our outpatient clinic location. This would include working 2-3 evenings per week.
  • Perform intakes and assessments as needed.
  • Maintain paperwork and electronic records on all assigned clients.
  • Provide case management and treatment coordination as needed.
  • Attend and participate in mandatory supervisory and staff meetings.
    Requirements/Qualifications *
  • Master’s-level unlicensed clinician who currently has a Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field. Due to the unique nature of being a granted position, you currently must be unlicensed.
  • Experience providing psychotherapy in an outpatient clinic, community, and/or school setting.
  • Clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Demonstrated high-quality, sound, and appropriate therapeutic counseling skills.
  • Clinician who is comfortable working with a wide range of clinical presentations.
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and has an ability to quickly build rapport with clients.
  • Solid computer and basic technology skills.
  • Evidence of working effectively and collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with clinical staff, town employees, school/educational staff, and other various agencies involved in client care.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Must be willing to become CANS certified in Massachusetts.
