Job Description:
We are seeking an Outreach and Food Pantry Manager to join our team at the Groveland Council on Aging. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of older adults and individuals with disabilities in our community. You will provide comprehensive assistance, build positive client relationships, and offer support, all while maintaining a nonjudgmental and bias-free approach rooted in empathy. Additionally, you’ll foster community engagement, collaborate on programming, and establish valuable connections with local businesses to provide essential services. Compensation: $19.88 – $24.85 / hour
Schedule: Flexible, ideally between 9:30-3:30pm, Tuesdays – Thursdays

Reporting to: Director, Groveland Council on Aging
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Outreach Services (Approx. 55% of time per week):
Assistance and Guidance, including Client Relationships: Provide comprehensive assistance to older adults, including helping them access public and nonprofit assistance programs, building and maintaining positive client relationships, and offering support and education as needed. This includes conducting in-home visits, which are essential, while ensuring that all services are delivered in a nonjudgmental and bias-free manner.
Community Engagement and Collaborative Programming, including Information Resource and Local Business Partnerships: Foster community engagement and provide valuable support and education to our community. Collaborate with partners to design, implement, and deliver programming that addresses the educational needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities. This includes researching and providing accurate information about current events and resources, as well as establishing connections with local businesses to provide services to older adults,
Food Pantry Management (Approx. 35% of time per week):
Food Pantry Management: Oversee the efficient operation of our food pantry, including ordering food pantry items, stocking shelves, taking food orders from clients, packing bags, volunteer management, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Data/Admin (Approx. 10% of time per week):
Data Collection: Maintain daily records of client interactions and other relevant data through appropriate software for reporting and analysis.
Administrative Duties: Perform administrative tasks, including weekly 1:1 meetings with the COA Director, participating in team meetings, and other necessary administrative responsibilities to support the overall operation of the role.

Ability to guide and assist older adults and individuals with disabilities in accessing public and nonprofit assistance programs, offering support, and providing educational resources.
Skill in designing and implementing community educational programs.
Proficiency in researching and providing accurate information about current events and resources to educate and inform the community.
Ability to establish and maintain connections with local businesses to provide services to older adults.
Competency in data collection and organization and using relevant software for reporting and analysis.
Exceptional attention to detail and effective prioritization skills in all aspects of the role
Valid driver’s license and access to transportation (required).
Strong comfort and ability to use computers is essential.
