Social Work Opportunities Available in Pediatric Behavioral Health at Franciscan Children’s

Job Description:
At Franciscan Children’s, we provide compassionate, personalized, family-focused care and education for children with special medical and behavioral health care needs, helping each child find the courage to reach their full potential with integrity and respect. We are currently seeking dynamic and passionate social work candidates for three positions in our outpatient Behavioral Health Services and Children’s Wellness Initiative (CWI) programs:

Medical Social Worker: The Medical Social Worker is responsible for the delivery of clinical social work services to children and families. The candidate will be licensed independently at the LICSW level and can provide supervision to other social workers or social work interns as needed. As a member of an organization committed to service excellence, participation in quality improvement planning, team, and staff meetings are expected.

Outpatient Licensed Clinical Social Worker: The Social Worker is responsible for the delivery of outpatient therapeutic services to children and families in the Behavioral Health Services Department. The candidate will have enthusiasm for and experience with working with young children, be licensed independently at the LICSW level, and can provide supervision to other social workers or social work interns as needed. The Social Worker should have 3-5 years post licensure experience, as well as experience working in a pediatric setting. Preference is given to those who are familiar working with younger children, those with Neurodevelopmental Disabilities, and diverse populations. As a member of an organization committed to service excellence, participation in quality improvement planning, team, and staff meetings are expected. This is a full-time position.

School-based Clinician: The clinician is responsible for the delivery of outpatient therapeutic services to youth and families in a Boston school setting. Crisis intervention, consultation with school staff regarding mental health needs and case management services is also provided by the clinician. A successful candidate is detail oriented, can manage a stressful, fast pace environment and is flexible regarding fluctuations common in a school setting. Experience with insurance billing and electronic medical records are preferred but not required.

Requirements/Qualifications:
Masters in Social Work complete
