Bridge Over Troubled Waters Hiring for Clinician – Intensive Behavioral Health Day Program

Job Description:
Bridge Over Troubled Waters is a multiservice agency that provides resources, services, and support to youth ages 17-24 who are experiencing homelessness. Bridge has been rapidly expanding clinical supports over the past few years and is currently looking to develop a new program to meet the increasing mental health needs of our young adults. The Intensive Behavioral Health Day Program Clinician will be responsible for the assessment and treatment planning of all youth enrolled in Bridge’s new Intensive Behavioral Health Day Program. This program is intended for youth who are in need of additional therapeutic support and are willing to commit to a highly structured, behavioral health focused day program for 1-2 weeks. The Clinician will work alongside the Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Director to develop and pilot this program. They will be expected to meet with youth on a rolling basis to assess readiness for the program and support with enrollment, facilitate groups, create service plans, and develop short term treatment goals through a person-centered, trauma informed lens.

• 2-4 years of experience working with youth and young adults ages 16-24 in one or more of the following areas: behavioral health, housing management, job development, community relations, substance abuse or recreational counseling. Can also include supervised internship experience.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work or any other related degree, a Masters Degree in Social Work or related field strongly preferred
• Comfort and confidence working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• Passionate about working with homeless transitional youth population.
• Ability to identify and execute effective problem solving strategies. Must possess sound crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with residents, staff, co-workers and supervisors.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultural groups.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Salary: 50,000-52,000
