Job Title: Outpatient Clinician
Supervisor: Program Director/Clinical Director
Qualifications: Licensed or Licensed Eligible; Masters degree in related field OR Bachelors degree with 3 years substance use experience; experience working with addictions and the mental health population.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to engage and maintain a therapeutic relationship with clients.
- Knowledge of major clinical therapeutic models and behavioral health best practice
- Knowledge of DSM diagnostic criteria
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to document within an Electronic Medical Record
- Complete TB Screening;
- HPTC Approved De-escalation Program.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Provide direct services to clients, which will include but not limited to evaluations of clients; Individual, group and/or family counseling, crisis management, and aftercare planning;
- Comply with all chart documentation in a timely manner;
- Participate in Multidisciplinary Treatment Team and Utilization Review;
- Assist in development and updating of clinical and psycho- educational programs;
- Participate in supervision as scheduled;
- Ensure compliance with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2; and Confidentiality of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Patients and HIPPA regulations and best practice processes and protocol in the provision of highest quality client care;
- Develop community contacts and collaboration with other organizations as needed;
- Attend all meetings, case conferences and trainings as required;
- Maintain and document collateral contacts with other community organizations as needed, including probation, parole, DCF etc.;
- Submit reports to collateral contacts as required;
- Facilitate appropriate referrals and follow up as appropriate;
- Responsible for any other duties as assigned by Area Director, Program Director and/or Clinical Director.
