MGH Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Clinic Hiring Clinical Social Worker

The Movement Disorders Division in the Department of Neurology is seeking a full-time clinical social worker as a core member of the Movement Disorders interdisciplinary team, working together to address the medical and psychological needs of patients, caregivers and families in an ambulatory setting.  The social worker will also be a member of the Division of Palliative Care and Geriatric Medicine/Dementia Care Collaborative at MGH, working alongside colleagues who are similarly dedicated to the care of patients with chronic illness.  The social worker will provide clinical services to patients/families that address the psychosocial, environment, age-specific and cultural issues to maximize emotional, social and physical well-being, and the effective use of healthcare and community resources; conduct biopsychosocial-spiritual assessments, provide clinical interventions and establish effective plans of care.


LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, and/or REGISTRATIONS  

  • MSW degree from an accredited program
  • Current Massachusetts license at the LCSW or LICSW level
  • Prefer a minimum of 3 years of health care social work and neurological diseases preferred.

$3,000 sign-on bonus (based upon eligibility
