Alliance for Inclusion & Prevention: Master’s Level Mental Health Clinician / Bilingual (Spanish)

We are seeking a clinically skilled Master’s level clinician to work in an innovative collaboration to provide clinical and support services to Unaccompanied Children (UCs) and their foster families/sponsors. Services to be provided in partnership with Boston area schools and Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) subcontracting agencies supporting unaccompanied children.

Position description: 

  • Provide clinical screening and culturally-informed group treatment to UCs with trauma and/or mental   health, behavioral, psychosocial, or substance use concerns in evidence-based treatments (EBTs) in school and/or community settings. Training in screening and group EBTs will be provided by AIP.
  • Provide care management for UCs and other refugee and immigrant children their sponsor families, linking them to local resources 
  • Provide culturally and developmentally informed training to school staff and foster/sponsor parents in understanding the trauma and adjustment needs of UCs and other professional staff
  • Position includes regular team collaboration with AIP and staff at schools and/or in the community
  • Become a leader/trainer in relevant evidence-based treatments for childhood trauma

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or Doctorate in a clinical mental health discipline
  • Requires spoken and written fluency in Spanish

Preferred

  • Familiarity (bicultural preferred) with immigrants from Northern Triangle countries of Central America
  • Knowledge about impact of acculturation trauma on newcomer children/youth and families 
  • Licensure in relevant discipline is preferred, but not required
