Job Summary: Outpatient Clinicians provide psychotherapy to individuals and couples. These services include but not limited to: assessments, treatment, case documentation, discharge planning, and coordination of care with other care providers, family, and other involved individuals or service providers as appropriate.

  • None

Essential Functions of Position:

  • Screen, evaluate and treat adult clients. Modalities of treatment include, but are not limited to, psycho-therapy/counseling with individuals, groups, couples, and families.
  • Maintain updated clinical records of individual or group clients in a timely fashion and a specified by the policies and procedures of the clinic and by standards of regulatory and funding agencies. This includes but is not restricted to a comprehensive initial assessment, progress notes, and discharge summaries when applicable.
  • Coordinate treatment with other involved parties as appropriate, i.e. other psychiatric and/or medical treaters (PCP), other service providers, significant client supports, etc.
  • Be a participating member of the multi-disciplinary team at the clinic by participating in staff meetings, clinical case reviews, case conferences, etc.
  • Maintain professional licensure and professional competency by attending educational and professional activities such as conferences, seminars, training etc… pertinent to the population served and the clinical work conducted.
  • Provide coverage for other therapists if needed and assigned to cover.


  • Pre-licensed, eligible for license or currently licensed in the State of Massachusetts as a
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Possess competency with time management and organization skills. Ability to be detail oriented.
  • Ability to be proficient in utilizing Electronic Medical Records. Proficiency in general computer skills.
  • Proficiency in providing in-person and telehealth therapy sessions.
  • Preferred experience in working with the culturally diverse populations and individuals with depression, anxiety, and trauma.

Training Requirements:

  • Outpatient therapists are required to fulfill the requirements to maintain their license in the state of Massachusetts.
